Our Winter Sports cover extends your school travel insurance to provide cover for on piste skiing and snowboarding for leisure purposes only.

• Emergency Medical Assistance, including mountain recovery by air ambulance if necessary
• Cover for ski passes and ski school fees
• Cover for piste closure & avalanche closure

Buying school travel insurance with winter sports cover ensures that you have emergency medical cover in place in the event of a pupil or teacher having an accident on the slopes. Covering the cost of emergency medical treatment, including mountain recovery by air ambulance if necessary.

The following winter sports activities are covered: On piste skiing and snowboarding, ice skating, big foot skiing, cross country / Nordic skiing, dry slope skiing, sledging, snowmobiling, snow kiting and snow shoeing.

On Piste Skiing: Skiing on the piste, plus skiing on areas in and around the resort, but off the actual marked pistes, such as skiing on a hillside between marked pistes, or skiing down slopes adjacent to marked runs, but always finishing at the bottom of tows or lifts within the resort and never in areas cordoned off or restricted. All other areas are considered as ‘off piste’ and therefore require purchase of activity pack C.
